Zaragoza, Spain — In the heart of the city, a group of young volunteers began handing out free books about Jesus, faith and hope. The initiative has met with a surprisingly positive response from the public, who not only accept the materials with interest but thank them for the gesture in a world increasingly saturated with noise and spiritual indifference.
“We have many interested people,” says one of the young people in a video recorded during the day. “Sometimes we even have to offer bags so they can carry the books they are taking.”
The books, available in many languages, address spiritual, biblical and motivational topics, and are meant to reach both residents and immigrants of many nationalities. That diversity is key in a city like Zaragoza, where many cultures meet.
Behind this effort is the collaboration of Window for Christ Ministry, an international Christian organization dedicated to the free distribution of missionary literature, especially in regions where the gospel message has not yet arrived with strength. “We want to thank Window for Christ deeply,” adds another young person in the video. “Thanks to them, today we have the material we need to reach people with a message of hope.”
The activity in Zaragoza is part of a global network of missionary efforts in which Window for Christ works with volunteers and other local ministries to sow faith through books. What is just paper to some is, to others, a timely word that changes lives.
“It is God's work, moving different people in one spirit in different parts of the world to finish the task God has left us”
