Iran is one of the places where sharing the gospel publicly faces great challenges. The authorities severely restrict religious freedom and, especially, Christians who come from a Muslim background may face surveillance, arrests and legal proceedings for their faith activities. Churches and Christian communities are also subject to significant restrictions, and many believers meet discreetly.

Amid this reality, we received wonderful news: some copies of Steps to Christ in Persian have entered Iran, carried by volunteers who took these books with them to share.

In a country where speaking openly about the Christian faith can be difficult and risky, this experience takes on a very special meaning. The brothers and sisters taking part have told us that they soon hope to receive boxes of books to distribute in Iran, and not just a few copies.

It is wonderful to witness how God is opening doors, and especially the door of the heart. There are people hungry to know more about Jesus. Amid this reality, Iran becomes a precious field for God's mercy.

Let us pray that the Holy Spirit will keep touching hearts, opening doors and watching over these volunteers who, with such courage, share their faith in such a complex context.

Now is the time. Even today we can reach lives.
