In April 2023, a volunteer committed to the mission visited a Buddhist temple in Thailand. There he had the opportunity to respectfully approach a monk and give him a copy of Steps to Christ in Thai. The books had been provided by Window for Christ to support volunteers who bring hope to different places in the world.
Thailand is a country marked by Buddhist tradition, where temples and monks hold an important place in cultural and religious life. In this context, handing out Christian literature was a special opportunity to plant a seed of the gospel.
The meeting was simple but meaningful: a door opened thanks to the initiative of a brother willing to approach, with respect, a person from a different tradition.
The photographs were taken in 2023 and were only recently recovered. Today we share them as a testimony that God can use every missionary initiative to take His Word to unexpected places.
Once delivered, the book continues its mission in silence. It is a silent preacher, waiting for the moment when God awakens the interest of the one who received it. We sow; God works in the heart. And when He awakens the desire to know the truth, a simple seed can begin to bear fruit.
