Zaragoza, Spain. On a street in Zaragoza, a group of brothers and sisters together with their pastor has found a simple way to share the message of Christ with the community: making free books available to those who pass by.

A table or display with publications and a simple sign announcing “Free books” invites people to stop, look and choose the copies that catch their interest. In this way, the publishing ministry takes place in the midst of the city's everyday life, allowing books to reach people who might never walk into a church.

Most of the publications offered are in Spanish. However, Zaragoza is also a city where people from different countries and cultures live, including communities connected with countries of the 10/40 Window.

That is why Window for Christ complements this ministry by providing copies of The Great Controversy and Steps to Christ in Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, English and French. In this way, the publications can reach not only Spanish readers but also people who find in these books a message available in their own language.

This initiative is an example of how God can place in the hearts of different people the desire to serve and, at the same time, open opportunities for different ministries to join their efforts. Some contribute their time and willingness to distribute the books; others provide publications in different languages. Together, these efforts widen the reach of the message.

From a street in Zaragoza, a simple space of free books thus becomes an open door to share Christ with people of every tongue and nation.

Hab 2:14: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
