A significant missionary initiative took place in Assam, India, a region in the northeast of the country, near the border with Bhutan. After the Sabbath service, the brothers and sisters took part in the distribution of Christian literature, sharing copies of Steps to Christ in Hindi, provided by Window for Christ, as well as pamphlets and materials in English and Hindi provided by Amazing Facts.
Assam's location has a special meaning for the mission. Although Bhutan maintains restrictions on the entry of Christian literature, geographic closeness and the ties between communities in the region remind us that the message of hope can find ways to reach people. National borders cannot limit God's power to touch hearts; through human relationships, testimonies and the influence of those who receive the message, the light of Christ can extend beyond geographic limits.
This experience also highlights the importance of different ministries working together with a common purpose. When each ministry contributes its resources, gifts and efforts, God can multiply the impact of the mission and open new opportunities to share the gospel in places where great challenges remain.
Assam is a region of great natural beauty and cultural diversity. Located in the Brahmaputra River valley, it is known for its forests, mountains, abundant rainfall and vast tea plantations. Its population is made up of diverse ethnic and cultural groups, with a wide variety of languages, including Assamese, Hindi and English.
Every book delivered represents an opportunity for a person to learn the biblical message and discover God's love. We pray that the Lord will keep guiding these missionary efforts and opening doors so that His Word reaches new hearts.
